A Letter to Momo

So there I was in the library, browsing DVD shelves like it was 1993, and my eyes stumble upon this little gem of a film I’d never heard of. Written and directed by Hiroyuki Okiura, it’s as good as anything Studio Ghibli ever did (though it clearly owes a lot to those films thematically.) Even more importantly, it has the best fart joke ever done in cinematic history. No kidding!

This one’s great for kids- maybe not really little kids, because there are some supernatural creatures in there, but they’re much more goofy than creepy. Let’s say… 7 years old? Unless your kid is already desensitized by Marvel Movies or whathaveyou, which, in that case, never mind.

But if you’re a grown-up, you’ll enjoy it too. It’s just a great movie all around.
